Michelle Chandra is a San Francisco-based designer, developer, and artist interested in the creative and artistic application of data to varied mediums including maps, photography and music. She studied art, tech and code at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program. Her work has been featured in many publications including the Daily Mail, the Washington Post, Engadget, Gizmodo, and the Creator’s Project. She previously worked at CARTO, a web mapping platform, where she helped users visualize geographic data. She currently runs her own map art business, Dirt Alley Design, where she creates fantastical maps.
