Every time I alter one small piece of my Processing collage animation, it gets better and better. My brain can barely handle so much goodness. Today, I layered a bunch of photos in my collage animation (instead of having just one photo), and changed the rotate angle for each photo.
The order of the photos determines how the colors are layered, and the rotate angle dramatically changes the curvaceous results.

Tonight, I am trying to figure out how to make my images an array, also contemplating creating a database of images to pull from or trying to tap into a database down the line to randomly bring in photos from an online source (I am looking at you NASA!). Although it is much more fun to mess around with the collage itself than try and read up on Arrays!
Also, curious what the effect would be if I tried to randomize the rotate angle and the images that are used. I have also been thinking about how to connect this sketch to Physical Computing – perhaps I could wire up a camera to take photos at ITP (or elsewhere) whenever there is movement and use those images in my sketch. Or perhaps I could use a live video feed to populate the collage sketch (or set-up a camera to take video, and use the video to populate the sketch in real time) etc.
I like your thought processes I would like to see your work if you wouldn’t mind. I am a beginner in animation and like collage/experimental animation.
