Processing: Meta-Instacollage

Last night, I ran my collages through my collage machine 4-5 times. The results become far removed from the original images.

The collages are harder to look at to some extent, and have a painterly quality to them.

The images look much less like photographs now, and more like they could be posters or a graphic album cover.

collagethecollage5rI am familiar with the images that are being mashed up in these collages, but the viewer will not be familiar and I am curious if they are still readable or just difficult to look at.

Are these collages as successful as the collages where it is more clear what images are being combined?
